Step 1: Explore the Business Directory
We have an online catalog of Humboldt businesses, agencies, and organizations who may be looking to hire in the near future. Look for organizations that match your interests, ideals, and experience, but also be open to thinking outside the box in terms of industries or job positions. You can even filter jobs by the kind of general positions you’re looking for: administrative, labor, management, marketing etc…
Step 2: Complete the Aptitude Application
Let employers get to know who you are and how you’re wired. You’ll answer questions about your professional goals and ideas, working preferences, communication style, and values. (Some questions are pretty straight-forward while others are more thought-provoking. Most people take 45 minutes to 2 hours to complete it.) You’ll be able to keep your application on your dashboard and apply to any position once you complete it. (We also have a demographic form that we ask you to complete to help us determine who we’re reaching and how to be more effective. The demographic information will not be shared with employers.)
Once you complete your application, you’ll be able to pin businesses so you can go back and make sure to you submit your application to them. You will be able to see the businesses you applied to on your dashboard.

Step 3: Connect with Businesses
Individual companies or business owners will review your application and reach out to you if they are interested in talking with you further.
Step 4: Interview with Businesses
Employers will set up interviews over the weekend of March 1-2. Having all the interviews on one weekend not only allows those out of the area to be able to maximize their time, it also offers you the opportunity to better compare and contrast the various organizations you are considering.
